Mindless, repetitive tasks are relaxing?

I never honestly consider what I do to be farming, though I've been told before it is.
What do I consider it to be?
A catharsis, especially when I'm having a stressful moment, I jack in, play for a while, and sometimes I happen about something awesome.
I log off, even if I don't get a sweet drop... and feel much better.

Dry, unwitty, criticism is relaxing? Or are you on these boards to build up stress?

I consider farming like work, not fun.
But I still do farm.
*sigh*

Because I like playing the game.
I like killing creatures.
I like trying to make solo builds.
I like the feeling when I see a gold item drop
I like the gamble of "what will I get" everytime I kill something (and them all be mine).
I like seeing big numbers in my storage and I like spending gold like mad (purchasing armor. dyes, and runes - thus I rarely have a big number in the storage - gotta spend it as soon as I get it).
*shrug* a lot of things. Mostly I don't enjoy the most of the missions and I've ran out of quests to complete so I run around and kill things. I figure if I'm going to do that they might as well be things that I get gold and drops from.
Whatever floats your boat. I can not stand PvP, I can not see how one does. But I do not complain or make sarcastic remarks about people who do. Heck if all you enjoyed doing was dancing and chatting in towns that's you business.

Good for you. As for myself, I absolutly detest any kind of pointless and meaningless grind , because it only makes me want to ragequit Guild Wars.

Farming is generally like playing a slot machine.
So says Ensign, anyway, and we all know Ensign is always right.

I like farming because unlike doing missions/quests I'm not forced to grind towards a set goal.

I likes to farm because I puts food on my plate...
Wait, you mean farming as in in game don't you? Usually the most runs I do in a row is four. I really can't be bothered with doing much more of the same thing more than 4 times.

I waste a lot of gold, buying things, inviting guildies, SAKE!
Its kinda like a title I guess, we all remember them luck titles right?
And the chart ones, you have to run to some places that NO mission or quest takes you. Why do that?
You want to accomplish something. Now a days I do alot of Chest Run. To get the title and to get mods. I enjoy making my own weapons and then either passing them on to new players or hording the mods.
Gold and items aren't really the objective since I could farm a green, and spent the next 2hrs trying to sell it and make more then 2hrs of farming.
I also enjoy killing things solo, the look of a mino mob dead, dancing over the corpse of a ettin. mawhahahaha, but I only do a few farm runs and then move on.

I find farming quite amusing - I use the vengeful rit build a lot and it looks fun when I just stand there, carrying an urn and the monsters die around me...

Like Going swimming, going shooting, and so forth? yes
often doing somthing relaxing involves sitting and doing somthing that is easy and simple, so you dont have to think about it, it free's up your brain so you can just sit and let your mind wander, sort out the days events
so yeah, they are, No ****
personally i enjoy finding new and harder bosses for me to solo with my ritualist

I love farming on my monk. Seeing all the damage and health numbers on the screen is a thrill I find farming relaxing because you don't have to think about it.
